Gift Cards

Shaka Brah Gift Cards (powered by CasperVend) are the perfect gift! With the V3 update, Gift Cards are now more secure, and customers can combine cards on their own. The following instructions are also included inside each Gift Card for easy reference.

SET UP YOUR CARD FOR TRANSFER OR USE

1. Rez your card on the ground. You must be in a location that allows you to rez objects, such as your home or a sandbox that allows scripts.

2. Click “Menu” and then choose “Verify” to validate the gift card.

3. Take the card back into your inventory. It is now transferable, if you wish to give it to someone else.

USING YOUR GIFT CARD

1. Shaka Brah Gift Cards can be used at the Shaka Brah Mainstore. Events featuring Shaka Brah may or may not allow scripts to run, which is a requirement for the gift card to function, so we cannot promise that any event outside of the Shaka Brah Mainstore will accept the gift card. In this situation you can contact Faith Jolifaunt and we will do our best to provide a workaround.

2. Right-click and Wear your gift card from your inventory. It will attach to your screen in a HUD position.

3. Touch the main panel of the vendor for the item you wish to purchase. The vendor image should appear on your gift card HUD to confirm your choice.

4. Choose “Buy Now” to complete the purchase.

5. The purchase amount will be debited from your gift card total.

6. If you do not have enough funds to cover the purchase amount, you will be given the option to top-up the card to cover the remaining amount. If you choose to do this, you will be given a DEBIT PERMISSIONS dialog box. You must approve this debit permission to add the remaining amount to the card and cover the total cost of the purchase.

ADDING FUNDS TO YOUR GIFT CARD

1. Wear your gift card and touch the Shaka Brah Gift Card Top-Up Terminal at the Mainstore front desk.

2. Follow the instructions to pay the board and add funds to your gift card total.

COMBINING GIFT CARDS

1. Right-click and Wear both gift cards from your inventory, one at a time. They may overlap and you may have to move one using the Edit tools to a new location on your screen to see both at once.

2. On the card you wish to transfer balance FROM, touch “Menu” and “Transfer”.

3. Now, on the card you wish to transfer balance TO, touch “Menu” and “Transfer”.

4. Your balance will be transferred to the second card.
